DNN 4.09.02 Blog module 03.05.00

If I use the site wide search (the one on the RHS of the menu bar) no blog entries are picked up.  If I look in the SQL server SearchItems table there are no entries from recent Blog posts (I know I have to wait for the indexing task to run).  There are entries from very much older Blog posts.  I believe that Blog entries stopped appearing in this table when I recently upgraded to the latest (03.05.00) version of the Blog module.

Is this a (relatively) recent change and is it by design?  I also use the What's New module on my site.  It's driven off the SearchItems table and it used to show new blog posts.  It no longer shows the blog posts.  Is there a way to recover the old behavior?

Hi Richard,

I wonder if, during the upgrade, the Enable DNN search option got overwritten and is now set to false. Could you check this? We did no particular changes to the ISearchable interface implementation in the last release, so the issue may be somewhere else.

Best regards,
Dario Rossa

Hi Dario,

Thank you!

I searched for ages in Blog Settings.  I'd completely forgotten about Module Settings. Doh!

For the record - I've no reason to believe that the upgrade changed the setting.  This is a relatively new addtiional portal in a larger site.  It's quite possible that the blog search never worked on this portal and I just never noticed.  The entries I saw in the searchitems table are very likely from other portals.

I believe the defautl setting for DNN Search is OFF.

i have same problem. After blog module upgraded to 3.05.01 version. dnn search is not running for blog entries/updates. It is not reflecting in SearchItem table after search engine schedular running. How can you solve this problem , i want to give whats new module behaviour like as previous version. I explored but not able to find option to set/enable dnn search  for blog module. Can you provide me the way to do this.

Thanks in advance.
