My client has requested the ability to export all blog data to a text file (or similar).

Is there an easy way to do this ?

Hi Matthew,

you can export all module contents in the same way you can export all contents from other core modules, from the module menu, select Export. In addition, I am also working on a free open source project on Codeplex to export all contents to a BlogML format file.

Best regards,
Dario Rossa

It seems that the only Blog module that allows export is the Blog List (which lists all the blogs).  I Just gave that one a try anyway, and the file that I tried exporting to doesn't seem to get created.

I need to export all blog posts and comments to a text file.  Am I doing something wrong ?

Hi Matthew,

when entering the Export screen, select Root as the target folder and proceed to export. The exported file will be an .xml file in your portal's roos, e.g. Portals/0/content.Blog.Blog.xml

Best regards,
Dario Rossa
