Hi,

I have checked the option "Enable Social Bookmarks" on my blog, but in Internet Explorer a security warning appear when the icons are loaded.
This is due to our site running on HTTPS and the source to the images are http://.

Is there an easy way to solve this without recompile everything?

Thanks,

I downloaded the source and opened "ViewEntry.ascx.vb" in Visual Basic 2008 Express and found the line that add the url to a javascript variable.
But I guess I have to recompile the project after I changed this?

However, I don't understand how to compile from source, I would appreciate some help on this.

Thanks!

Hi Micke,

you do not need to recompile the entire project to change the used social bookmarks chicklets details. You can just edit this js file:

[dnnRoot]/DesktopModules/Blog/ShareBadge/js/ShareBadgeChicklets.js

Let me know if you need further help.

Best regards,
Dario Rossa

Hi Micke,

yes, any change made to the source code (except js) is not reflected by the module behavior unless you recompile the project and overwrite the assemblies in the bin folder of your DNN install. To do this you need to open up the project in Visual Studio or Visual Web Developer 2008 SP1, fix all the missing references and rebuild the entire solution. Be aware that v03.05.01 is still an ASP.Net 1.1 project, and may need an upgrade.

Best regards,
Dario Rossa

Okay, had a look in the file and found "strImagePath" which is set in the code behind file.

So an easy solution would be to hard code strImagePath to the actual path from root.
I'll have a closer look into this tomorrow.

Thanks!
