Has anyone else managed to get the beta of version 4 working?  I have had some isses as follows:

  • There are compile options in the blog import control.  It looks as though the code has been copied from the forum module and not updated correctly.  It is complaining about "lstBlogs" which does not exist.  Having looked in the presentation layer code, there is a list called "lstForums" which I am assuming is the control that should be named "lstBlogs".
  • Once a blog is created, I can create entries and everything seems to work well.  However, when trying to view that entry I get a connection error and the page is not found.

Has anyone else experienced similar problems?  I will log these onto CodePlex but wondered if anyone else is having problems.

A little more information after lots of digging.  It appears that even version 3.5.1 of the blog module is not compatible with version 5.1.4 of the community edition.  I am going to revert back to 4.9 and see if the module works there.  I will post my findings.

Ok, so this was all my fault and you can ignore this post.  The problem was that I was running the setup locally using VS2008's built in web server.  It appears that installations after 4.4.1 do not like running on the built in web server.  Now that I have setup the site in IIS, everything is working fine.  V4 looks absolutely awesome and has all the features I am looking for!
