Hi.
On my running 5.4.2 i just placed a blog (ver 4) and i'm seeing a strange behaviour.
But first some basics:
- running on my own Win Server 2003
- date and time synced over internet-timeserver
- DST as we in Germany do have this....
- Timezone set accordingly
- portal language: english

Here is the problem:
- when i add a blog entry it will show itself with the correct date in the View_Blog Module
- the dates are marked in the Archive_Module
- when clicking on these dates the View_Blog Module tells me that there are no entries for this date
- Recent_Entries shows on day prior to my posting
- the database-entry shows me the day prior to my posting with 23:00:00 for every (!) entry

E.g. i created an entry this morning at 9:30 local time, June 10th, the 10th of June is marked in the Archive_Module, but this entry appears with June 9th in the Recent_Entry Module. In the database this entry has 09.06.2010 23:00:00 in the field AddedDate.
So not only the date is wrong but also the time!

How can i fix this?

Thanks

Kai

I just tested it on my test machine with a local  totally blank 5.4.2 fresh installation and have exactly the same results, including the content in the database.

I made some more tests to eliminate having a so called single user issue and here are the crushing results:

- 3 indipendend machines with different OS and  different OS-languages
- it does not matter which timezone the portal is set to or whether the blog timezone is the same than the portal or not
- it does not matter what date-format for blog is set

Example:
one entry created on June 9th at 9:33 pm (by setting this date and time during creation, but this does not matter, could be the real date as well)
one entry created on June 10th at 8:10pm

- The entry itself has the correct date in the view_blog module, allthough the wrong date is in the table blog_entries
- recent_entries shows the day minus one of every entry
- blog_archive shows the correct day marked but the entries are only visible when clicking the day minus one

In the table blog_entries the field addeddate is always the creation date minus 1 and the time is always (!) 23:00 (= 11:00 pm).

There are two things i can't understand:
- i can't believe that i'm the only one having this behaviour when i look at the several tests i made
- how can View_Blog show the correct date and time when it is wrong in the table of the db????

I really would appreciate any helpful hint where to look.

Thanks

Kai

Here's another Blog date issue: When I update a blog post and save it, the date loses a day.  That is, if I update a post today (6/12) and save it, it shows up as 6/11.  Edit it again and the date is 6/10.  So I lose a day each time I make a change.  What is that all about???
