i'm not sure if this is related, but here goes.

in EditEntry.ascx, there is a line that says
CodeBehind="EditEntry.ascx.vb"

however, EditEntry.ascx.vb is not in the project. Now, I realize that it's probably actually looking to the blog dll, but since i dont know much about that, I figured i would post this and see what the reason for it was.

I can confirm that ASP.Net 4, the Blog module, and the Telerik editor provider do not currently work together.  When attempting to save a blog entry the required field validation always fails because the RadEditor reports that it has no content.  The object reference error message appears any time validation of the blog entry fails regardless of .Net version.

It is not currently clear why this happens, the Telerik editor provider works fine with .Net 4 in other contexts.  More investigation will be needed to resolve this issue.

I found a workaround that allows you to keep your formatting: you can do all the text editing using the rich text editor, just make sure you click the plain text radio before submitting. images, tables, links, everything will appear in the blog post. Just be careful - if you forget to check it, then you WILL LOSE ALL YOUR WORK!

I've been having this exact same problem. For some reason I was able to add a blog entry on another portal, but today as I was training a client on her new site and attempting add a demo blog, it kept failing. An "Object not found" exception was thrown when I tried "Save as Draft" no exception on "Save and Publish". I'm also using asp.net 4 on my dev and production servers, which seems to back up the proposition that .net 4 and Telerik's controls don't work together.

Is everyone here having this error running their DNN instance's AppPool in .NET 4.0? It would be great if you could answer to this so that I can properly test this. (I still cannot reproduce this BTW). Thanks!
