HI All

I download and installed the blog module, moved containers around and made a few changes like added catergories etc.  Logged out all looked good, so the 2 questions I have are:

1:  I logged in with my test user account, went to the blog page and everything was diosplayed, but it stated that I need to be logged in to post or create a new entry, so I checked the permissions and noticed that the test user account was not set to a registered user, so I set it and logged back in again, but on the blog page it still stated that I needed to be logged in to create new entry.

2:  I noticed on the Dotnetnuke blog page under the calender you have a pull doen menu for all dtaes, how would I set this for my blog or does that display as a pull down menu when entries are made

I worked out just a tick box needed to be checked and it populates the drop list so thats number 2 answered.

I understand now number 1, but what if a new user registered, and wants to starts a new blog entry, this is the bit I cannot understand or get to work.

I am having simular problems (DNN v5.6.2, DNN Blog Module v4.1.0), I have changed module role settings to include Registered Users to modify the modules on the page, however when logged in as my test user account... nothing shows up on the page or I get the same issue as above... that I do not have permissions to modify/create my blog.

I have noticed that under the blog module options a setting for Personal Blog Page. If I choose my site, then nothing will be displayded while logged in under my test account. If I choose <Non Specifed>, everything is displayed but I get the same "Need to be logged in to create a blog" message.

Is there a document laying out how to configure this version of the DNN blog module?

Thanks!

Chris

I've figured out the Personal Blog Page setting stuff.

However, still, users can't see or use the blog modules on the page while logged in. Yes, the security roles have been setup correctly for each of the blog modules to allow registered users to Edit.

I did Move the Recent Blog Entry and Recent Blog Comments on the Home Page tab. All is working fine.

I have also turned on and used DNN's Online Users module on the home page.

Please feel free to contact me, I would be happy to provide you a link to the site and provide you with admin privs.
