The reply I keep getting is that it is a firefox issue (which ignores the fact I can't log in to edit my site in IE either...) and that it is "related to coding, not hosting" which ignores the fact I have the exact same pages hosted elsewhere with none of the problems I'm having. I asked if we could wipe the slate clean, get a new backup of the pages and database from my current provider, and reinstall everything from scratch, and they didn't want to do that.

As for the version issues, how do I confirm what versions are running?

Thanks for your help.

Eric

urgh... I feel for you. I can't stand when hosting companies play the "it must be on your end" game... which is one of the many reasons I opened my own DNN hosting company.

To check the versions of both DNN and ASP.net, you need to login as host and goto host | host settings.

Thanks for your responses. Sorry I took so long to get back to you. I was using version 3.1.0, now 3.2.2 I believe.

It turns out that the key was to wipe the first attempt clean, and go at it a different way. Instead of installing the entire DNN database from the backup, the source files were left in place and the portal was exported from the old site and imported into the new site. That worked much better. Whatever had been corrupted in the initial install seems to have been fixed.

The only problem with that method is that the 102 users who I had registered on the old site were not transfered over to the new site...and that is a problem I need to fix.
