Ive managed to get DDN 401 installed on my local computer and got it running fine, using the full source and using the VS 2005 template.

It works fine using the VS2005 web server and IIS locally yet everytime I upload to my production server i suffer the following error whenever i try to modify settings on the DDN installation.

Value cannot be null. Parameter name: format

also another problem is the drop down menu on the content windows, only Edit Text shows as text, all the other values just have their icon with the text missing.

If you want to see the site visit: http://itec2.panremmuswebdesign.co.uk

Ive also tried it on another production server and using different SQL configurations. Both servers running Win2003 and ive tried SQL Server 2005 Express, SQL Server 2000 Enterprise and SQL Server 2005 Enterprise all with no luck.

Thanks

Damien

I have the same error in my Server (Windows 2003). But not in my desktop with VS 2005.

I don´t understand. I´m just testing the basic Starter Kit App. It seems to me that´s it´s not working in something very basic related with string formatting.

Thank you,
Anibal

If you try to deploy your app with VS2005 'Publish Web Site' , it "forgets" to copy App_GlobalResources.

But if you copy it by hand, it says that the application is already precompiled.

So the best option is to builde the app, and copy all files by hand.

Thanks for listening,
Eric

I am seeing this as well and know about the globalresources bit. Has anyone identified the source of the publish issue?

I am off to try and do the compile / copy work around but would appreciate a standard publish approach
