AS i have not yet recieving any replys to my help questions regarding 4.5.1

I am not trying to install Dot Net Nuke 4.7.3 starter

I am using Visual Studio,

Installed Dot Net Nuke 4.7.3 no problem

Created new web site in Visual Studio

then ran with the quick installation (press Ctrl F5)

i take it by using the quick installtion i do not have to do
the things listed below 1-6 ? as i take it you only need to do
this if you are using the Advanced Installation ?

Advanced Installation

1. Create/Configure Database
2. Edit the Connection String in web.config
3. Configure the Web Server
4. Configure NTFS File Permissions
5. Choose a Site Template
6. Install DotNetNuke

Maybe i should ask if i am installing the 4.7.3 stater other than install and run auto, what else should i do ?

It is now running on explorer and is Installing DotNetNuke and I am getting the Installion status report ( i can say
that the status report looks bigger-longer than the status report i got when running 4.5.1)

I have clicked here to access your portal and recieved an error box on my screen
"WebDev.WebServer.exe has encountered a problem and need to close"
then in the explorer window this message
"Monday, May 28, 2007  ..:: Home ::.. Register  Login

  Module Load Warning
One or more of the modules on this page did not load. This may be temporary. Please refresh the page (click F5 in most browsers). If the problem persists, please let the Site Administrator know.

I pressed F5 but he same message

I really could do with some help.

For running DNN I suggest to use install package or the installer utility (current not available for latest DNN versions). Started kit is intended for use with VB Express, have a look at the tutorials of Michael Wahsington, how to set up a module development environment.

If you use the install package, you will need to install IIS, ASP.Net and SQL Server (Express) first as well as set up IIS configuration and installation directory security. Unzip all files and call your site, the wizard will guide you to the remaining setup steps. Good luck!
