I am having same problem.  Cannot update anything on website.  Get WebForm_PostBackOptions.  I am not running compression.  This was not a problem two weeks ago.  I am not sure if it is a problem with a security update with microsoft.  I was able to update on another computer a couple of days ago, but now receiving same error.

Please help

Bryan

I had the same problem. I found a temporary solution.. if you have an working DNN 4 version running on a system, search for the "WebResource.axd.js" on that system. Copy this file in your root of the DNN 4, where the updateproblem exist. Rename the "WebResource.axd.js" into "WebResource.axd". After that my copy is working, but this is a "quick and dirty" solution anyway... the problem itselfs is not solve.

Has anyone found a proper solution to this ?

I have DNN 4.00.02 running on IIS6, server 2003 with .Net2, no compression. I have tried the solutions suggested so far ( no cache, Scheduler disable, WebResource.axd ) but my users still can't update anything on their portals (child portals). For example: if they try to insert a new page and click update they get the "WebForm_PostBackOptions" error message and end up having to log in again.  Phil

I am noticing the same thing, but only with "child" webs, and only when updating certain modules ("Links" module fails, but "Text/HTML" seems to work.

The posted workarounds involving turning off caching/scheduling didn't solve the issue.

This is a show-stopper for me, somebody in the DNN core community NEEDS to look into this.
