Hello,

I have DNN (the latest) installed corectly, AD Authentication works fine! BUT:

When I go to my site, I get this messages:

"Error while processing Windows Authentication
Check your IIS settings. DesktopModules/AuthenticationServices/ActiveDirectory/WindowsSignin.aspx should NOT allow anonymous access."

I have tried all the options of the "Security Setting" but all combinatie fail! Or I'll get an error that a file has not the goog permissions.

What went wrong?

Tim.

PS> Sorry for my english (I'm dyslexics and a Dutchman
I've installe DNN on IIS7.0 with Server2008 and SQL2005... BTW

In IIS (I hope this is still there in IIS 7.0) go to the site and go through the directories until you get to DesktopModules/AuthenticationServices/ActiveDirectory and can see WindowsSignin.aspx listed. Right click on WindowsSignin.aspx and got to properties. One of the tabs should say File Security. On that tab there should be a section on Anonymous access and Authentication Control with an Edit button. Click on the Edit but and uncheck Anonymous Access. Then click Apply etc. until you're out of IIS manager.

That's how it's done in IIS 6.0 and I can't guarantee it's the same in IIS 7.0.

First: sorry for my late reaction (just back from vacation )

Second: i gues IIS7.0 is totally changed , in the permisson tab i can't see any thing with annoymouse!

I have only these:
-IUSR
-SYSTEM
-<my name>
-Administrators (domain)
-Users (domain)
-IIS_IUSRS
-TrustedInstaller

I tried it with IUSR and IIS-IUSRS and SYSTEM but nothing will work

Hey Tim

I'll have to setup a virtual machine with Vista/IIS7 and look at the properties. I'm not sure when I'll get to it as this weekend is pretty much shot but if I get a chance to tonight I will.

Do you know what setting I have to use?

IIS7 is almost the same as IIS6... Only I think Windows Server 2008 has an new security model.
