Ok, I went to that link above and done everything it said. I went here like it said http://www.mysite.com/install/install.aspx (with my url) and I got the error below

ERROR: Could not connect to database specified in connectionString for SqlDataProvider

 

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Change the connection string in web.config to match the details of your hosting database.

I have gone through a tutorial and have done everything it said. I am getting the error below, please help

 

Server Error in '/dotnetnuke' Application.

Configuration Error

Description: An error occurred during the processing of a configuration file required to service this request. Please review the specific error details below and modify your configuration file appropriately.

Parser Error Message: It is an error to use a section registered as allowDefinition='MachineToApplication' beyond application level.  This error can be caused by a virtual directory not being configured as an application in IIS.

Have you, like it sais, checked if your virtual directory is actually set as an application in IIS?
