Made my first simple skin and uploaded it, it all looks good except the menu.

An error has occurred.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at DotNetNuke.UI.Skins.Controls.TreeViewMenu.BuildTree(DNNNode objNode, Boolean blnPODRequest) at DotNetNuke.UI.Skins.Controls.TreeViewMenu.Page_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

I must be missing something?

Some older DNN 4 versions have a dll missing

Solution: upgrade to the latest version (always good) or read this

Site version is 4.7.0 and everything works OK from the default templates.

I managed to fix it by editing the ascx file and making it the same as the default skin for this section.  The code in the html file is the same as the default templates, so I'm not sure why I am having to do this.
