All of a sudden there is a 4.7 release and not one word on this website that I can find (and I have looked) to describe what it is and what it is about. What changed? Why a 4.7 release in such a short time form 4.6.2?

1.   There is a link on the home page

http://www.dotnetnuke.com/

2.   I believe there was a newsletter

3.   support.dotnetnuke.com   shows everything (somewhat) that is in each release

I've been meaning to post (but currently can't start new threads) asking about 4.7 myself.

For the past few releases, it seems an  x.x.1 and an x.x.2 follows a new release within days or weeks.  4.7.0, however, seems to have a longer than usual shelf life; did the core team nail this one? I haven't seen many problems in the forums, so it seems like a winner. No major problems outstanding? I was going to jump in and get my feet wet, but like to hear from others who have tested the water.

Past Newsletters can be found under News->Newsletters.

I think you can subscribe to Newsletters by clicking on your User and going into your profile. Under Manage Services you should be able to subscribe to the newsletter (DotNetNuke Notifications).

4.7 introduced Human FriendlyURLs along with bug fixes.
