<%@ Register TagPrefix="dnn" TagName="SIGNIN" Src="~/Admin/Security/Signin.ascx" %>

Simply removing the reference to Admin/Security/Signin.ascx did not work out for me :(

Will, how did you actually find the files you had to remove. I tried the most you removed, site cam up but login doesnt work any longer.

Michael, do you get an error message? which url does it try to load?
