Hi aR,

now that you told me, I just noticed that the DNN logo on the top of the page doesn't show neither on my computer while executing the install wizard. I don't think this means there is an underlaying problem. I think this could be due to the security settings before the install. Try browsing for http://localhost:whatever/whatever/Install/logo.gif before installing, and you will not be able to open that image, just receiving:

Server Error in '/DotNetNukeWebsite1' Application. Could not find stored procedure 'dbo.GetHostSettings'.

Regarding the different packages, the starter kit and the install package will produce the same installation, the starter kit works much more easy for me because you can start from a skratch in a few minutes with no settings, just chosing auto mode.

Best regards,
Dario Rossa

Hi Dario,

I will try the starter kit and post the result.

I have to agree that there is no underlying problem after installation, but it just bothers me so much seeing things not the way they should be :).

Thanks for all the help, really appreciate that.

Tried the starter kit, everything has been working fine so far.

The red 'x' issue is still there though, but looks like this does not cause any problem.
