I have two different servers and would like run my DNN website on both.   Has anyone tried to use SQL Server 2005 Replication to replicate the database between two servers?  Any problems with that?

I suppose I would also need to replicate the DNN directories, too.

If you have any other advice, I'd appreciate it!

Mike

Yes, you can do this, it would be necessary to replicate both sides, but ideally I would recommend reading the Web Farm setup document on this site for some configuration.

Take a look at Peer Sync offered by www.peersoftware.com .

I have tested it out for real-time replication across two servers and it really worked well.

They have some db replications options as well. I know other DNNers have used this as it was a DNN person who recommended it to me.

I am now just using it for scheduled backups. If you go for real time replication you have to have full licenses on both servers.

Let me know if you have other questions or if you want a recommendation on a reseller.
