Hi again,

Have now tried to install v4.8.4 in my VISTA environment --- Uargghh --- same result as with v4.9.0.

I have checked all access settings on IIS7, SQL Server Express 2005, file system level, application level -- all seems to be ok ... and according to the installation everything works fine ... just when I try to access the newly installed portal application ... NOGO

I have tried to install v4.9.0 20 times now ... I give up ... installation is working great the wizard sais ...

I have tried using all three alternatives in the installation wizard. I have now tried three times using the typical way ... passing the wizard completely ... NOGO ... same result ... installation works fine but when I click the link to access my portal ... ETERNAL LOOP ... the correct URL is beeing used ... but no page ...

Installation Complete

It simply does not work in a standard Vista Ultimate environment using IIS7 and SQL Server Express 2007.

Any ideas ?

Hello!

I got a similar problem from upgrading from 4.7 to 4.9.

After some work (read many hours, lots of @#!&"=*) i seems like if there is a "/"-sign last in an alias on the dnn-installation this happens.

In my environment i can duplicate and repeat this behaviour.

If you want to RUN a web site, do nmot install the source version.  Use the install version.  If yuou just want to look at the code, then unzip the source and load it up.
