I am having the same problem

a fresh 5.0.1 and after 8 Man days none stop of creating a portal and BOOM Module definition has disappeard from the host list - serves me right for using .0 on an important site. Should have waited for 5.1 and just used 4.9.2.

:(

It is somehow difficult to reproduce -

Basically

1- I was trying to install a new module to the portal. ( this site had no other module other than default DNN basic modules as the site was built mainly with lots of Text/html modules in all the tabs.

2- the third party module is perfect and I have never had any issue with it. It is news articles by Ventrian.

3- somehow after install I found that the tab called News was no longer where it was suppose to be - it was actually placed between Admin and Host tab.

4- I used admin//pages to move it where it was suppose to be.

5- next I found that module definition was no longer in Host//Module definition So I started looking for it. And to my surprise I found it in the newspage. So theoretically if I did not notice it there, anyone browsing he site would have been able to crash the site since they could upload any module they wanted as regular user.

I wish I kept it as it was so I could show it to you. But in my haste to make the site secure, I moved it to admin tab.

6- Next I noticed that the module definition tab was not under Admin// or Host??

so I have no idea where it is.

I can do some sql to see what has happened to it if you like. It must be somewhere but cannot see it anywhere.

 One other bug :(

I tried to make a template of this portal in 5.0.1 and move all the pages and content to a brand new install of 4.9.2 >>

4.9.2 does not accept the template made in 5.0.1 as a proper template.

This is re-produceable since I did tried another child portal and same issue.

I will see if this is reported

Salar with the 5.0.1 install, was this an upgrade? (from which version?)...

So far I've been using 5.0.1 pretty extensively and so far (touch wood) have not experienced these issues,...
