*Update*  I have been working with Marian from MobiNuke to get it working. It now basically works and I have used a simple HTML module for a menu.

The first version is more proof of concept and allows you to log in and view your league scores (this is the poker widget on PokerDIY). It also shows a stripped down Profile (I based mine on Facebook - Pic, name and status, using the Smart-Thinker Profile module.

Unfortunately I have not got AJAX to work on the mobile so a lot of pages cannot be shown. My next task is to try a mobi version of an .ascx file so that I can strip out the AJAX and offer a mobile alternative.

Note, none of my more advanced requirements have been met but it is a start - there is great potential for this module but I fear there is not enough demand for it.

Great thread... Would you mind posting some pix? I don't have access to a mobile device, and would love to see how you set stuff up.

 Thanks Rodney for this thread

Finally this week we had some time to kick start the iphone version of salaro.com. Here it is>> It is just a start - iphone.salaro.com but - the main challenge will be to port our store to iphone/ipod touch browser. Not as we are intresting in selling skins there. But only to prove to us that DNN can be a great cms to reach any platform. If you dont have iPhone/iPod Touch, then you might want to emulate your site here - testiphone.com/

iPhones bah! I much prefer my MS Smartphone. It's easy to get to the internet with MS Mobile, just click a really small icon, then another, then right click, then watch in grind, then watch it crash, accidently press the back button, well it makes me feel really at home...

like I said... iPhones.... more money then sense .

I downloaded and installed Opera Mini (http://www.opera.com/mini/) and tried that out for the 30 days that the trial lasted.  I was really impressed, it was soooooooooooo much better than the version of IE in Windows Mobile, it actually rendered pages correctly!

The iPhone and some other mobile browsers (except for IE) will render most pages correctly, albeit extremely small.   Some web sites are quite usable, while others are nearly impossible to use on a mobile device.  Using the tag I mentioned in another thread, you can limit the width of a page for the iPhones, and that alone might make things usable, but it doesn't work with all browsers.
