I found the answer to my own question and it was so easy!

Simply follow the instructions for enabling the web farm for dnn and it includes file based cache invalidation which works great with web gardens as well.  Problem solved from what I see!  Thanks DNN team for the great work :)

I followed these instructions also, but getting file access errors on the .resource files when i try to set "EnableWebFarmSupport" =True.

Apologies for responding to an old forum post, but can anyone shed any light on this..? Although, the solution on this forum seems to be in IIS Application pool settings to: "only have ONE worker process per application pool" this doesn't seem to be an option for me because: - We have 7 in our DefaultAppPool, and only have 2 sites. - Any less than 7 and both sites stop working! (we get this msg: Service Unavailable).

further to the above...
I have since created a separate app pool for each dnn site and now I can indeed have 1 worker process running!
I will see if this improves things.

thanks,
mark.
