......Funny. I was reviewing posts and my last one, mind you, with very usefull troubleshooting info, is now a year old!

Can we get a commitment from the developer or DotNetNuke to address this issue? As the previous poster stated, this is a great little module with tons of use. Broken like this though, we have to plan around it by not creating sub-folders with the letter ‘a’ in it. If we forget, users who upload through this module will certainly dump files in the root of the site which is not acceptable. The fact is, this defective module ships with DNN and works to relay a negative impression of the platform. We would like to see this almost 4 year old issue fixed finally. If there are no plans to fix it, please let the community know so we can abandon it once and for all. It might help if DNN pull it from their distribution as well.

Frustrating……

Thanks,

Mike

Agreed! Particularly when they have known about the issue for several years.

Six months after the last post here, the Default Folder setting is still broken, and over at CodePlex it says the fix is "in development for V6." That was more than a year ago.

Some development seems to be occurring, though:

In the meantime, I have a user community of RETIREES who have trouble logging in, and it's not realistic to think they will bother to post items when they have to select A PARTICULAR FOLDER from a HUNDRED OTHER FOLDERS.

Steve,

Which DNN version are you on? I just upgraded to DNN 7.0.4. It has been a challenge on its own with the DNNPro_ActiveDirectory provider.

I was going to check this folder list problem again once other issues are behind me. I was hoping version 7 fixed this but now I am not looking forward to find out otherwise.

Hi, Mike. We have different sites running DNN 4 through 7, and are in the process of migrating a couple of them from DNN 5 to 7. I can confirm that the Default Folder problem still exists even when installing the latest module on DNN 7.0.3.
