I've got a godaddy account with DNN installed in an a sub folder (since root installations aren't allowed on DNN).  And I've got a portal set up and have an alias set up.  The domain that I bought is set up to forward to my DNN install.. and that works, however, once the redirect occurs, the url in the browser is my dnn hosting account url.  I've tried configuring the alias domain to use masking (using the godaddy configuration options for that domain - and that works, but prevents login on IE7 (I assume because the query strings are lost with the mask).. though login does work on Firefox

Basially, I have;

www.dnnhostingdomain.com/dnnappfolder/brandedportal

www.brandeddomain.com

I would like the branded domain to forward to the branded portal and keep the brandeddomain in the browser url while navigating the portal.

Is that possible?

Thanks,

Jay

It should be possible.  I would have you double check your brandeddomain forwarding settings.  The masking setting should be all that you have to do.  This doesn't sound like a DNN-related issue.  However, I could very well be wrong.  A tool that you might be able to use to make sure is Fiddler.  You can use Fiddler to iInspect the traffic and HTTP headers that are getting sent and received.
