So I'm wondering if this problem is rearing its head again. I'm currently running DNN5.5.1 community edition, and I'm experiencing this problem for the first time ever after years of DNN versions back to 2.0. In this specific case, my administrator account cannot use any buttons including upload (all grayed out). I log back in as host and reset permissions and it appeared everything worked for the admin account, at least for an evening. My client could upload yesterday as an administrator after I set the permissions.

This morning, however, after not touching the permissions again since yesterday, all the buttons are grayed out once more. I've spent 30 minutes solid trying various permissions options, setting, re-setting, sync'ing, recursive, etc. and cannot at all get the administrator account to upload. I've closed browsers, logged out and in, restarted the DNN application, created a new role and added the admin to it with full permissions, all to no avail.

Anyone have any clues as to why these file manager permissions are so touchy and how to fix it?

Thanks in advance,

Kevin

I have the same problem, I have the issue during the registration form rich text editor.
Why are these forums not updated properly, i keep seeing threads that have not been answered for years and months.

Just upgraded to 6.1 and this issue has cropped up again.

I am logged in as the super user (host), go to Admin-->File Manager, and cannot hit upload, even on a folder that I just created.

"Either you are not currently logged in, or you do not have access to this content."

Anyone remember the fix for this, this has come up a few times before if I remember correctly.

Sebastion,

I found out what my "issue" was. I was in "View" mode. In view mode, i get the warning all the time, in "edit" mode, I am all set.
