Though weird (I am talking about the settings here) it just worked, thanks for saving loads of time. Personally i think all the settings for user registration should be in once place.

Ok, so if you go through this, but you only want the required profile fields to be visible on the registration form how do you do that? IE: I only want to add one field (profession) to the registration form, but using the steps above it adds all of the fields (though only makes profession required). I don't want the other fields on the registration page.

So how do I hide the non-required fields from the registration form? Ie: I only want to add one field (profession), but using the steps above, all the fields become visible and I don't want them to.

I think if you are logged in as an admin (or host) and navigate to the page to manage your profile, there will be radio buttons to the right of each field to determine whether they're visible to public, members, or admin only. Not sure if I'm answering the question that was asked...

Hi Ken, Thanks for that. The problem there is it makes those fields invisible throughout the entire site. We use an Active Social module, and need those profile details visible on that page, but not on the registration page. Thanks again, Jacob
