Guys,

I am having a similar issue using version 5.1.3. I need to have users enter an email address, but not be able to see the list of email addresses entered unless logged in as an administrator.

I have "Form" selected for Appearance, and "List view is restricted by permission" selected, but the user is still presented with the "Show Records" link.

When I set Appearance to "Form above list" or "Form below list", the "Show Records" link is not presented, but the submit does not redirect to another page, like it does when "Form" is selected for appearance.

I don't understand what else you might mean by "This is controlled by a setting and a matching permission".

Any ideas?
