The first issue related to different virsions fo System.Web.Extensions. Please, check /bin folder it can contain this assembly old version. If you are using 3.5 framework you can remove it.

Looking for dotnetnuke module development or dotnetnuke skinning services provider? Check our dnn modules and dotnetnuke skins to see where you can start.

the web.config file was using the old framework (Version=1.0.61025.0) And worked correctly on the old development machine. The files are copied from the live server which is running the same code as the "Old Dev Machine"  I am not clear what  I should be looking for in the Bin folder (also assuming the Bin folder we are talking about is the one in HTTPDOCS)

I am trying to have a dev website that runs the same setup as the live server. Is this possible?

When I made the changes in the Web.config file I wa able to get in the site locally but got errors for the controls being used in my modules on the website. So I Downloaded and installed the ajax extensions and replaced the original Web,Config File. After doing so I restarted the IIS service and could not get to the site again. After rebooting the PC I was then able to access the website locally and had no control errors.

I  am posting the results Just in case someone runs into the same issue.

Thanks for the help
