Duplicate Entries in EN-US are usually issues of Store and Repository modules. You shouldn't care about missing resource files in other English cultures, if the fallback cutlure is en-US.

Still not working! Have checked & rechecked all usernames and mail server domain.  All usernames identical.  All on the same domain.  Test emails OK.  Other modules sending emails OK.
  • Have tried deleting the "Subject" field in the Portal Language file for the password update and still get error log saying the "InnerException: The specified string is not in the form required for a subject." when trying to update a password within the user management system
  • Have tried updating passwords and roles logged in as host and admin.  Email errors in each case
  • Have been through the System, Host and Portal language files to remove all obvious errors (there were 2-4 in each file involing extra characters in the subject field).
  • I have restarted the application after updates.
  • Have restarted IIS.
  • Have rebooted the server.
  • Have copied the entire site to another machine - then applied DNN 5.5 upgrade to the copied site
Identical failures in sending the emails in all these variations.  However, when changing passwords as normal user the system works correctly with appropriate emails sent immediately??

Any suggestions.
  • Is there any way I can try to trace the source of the error?
  • Are there any files that might have been corrupted?
  • Are there any known module conflicts that cause similar symptoms?
This issue is kind of fatal to a 12 month project just about to be released.  Cheers - Peter

Just another update.  Changed the SMTP mail server to relay from the mail server of another of my sites that is working correctly.  Left everything else the same on the problem site.  Now it is working .  All normal system email that were failing before are working correctly.  Is this a SMTP Sever configuration issue?  What could be the cause?  The original SMTP server was the domain email server running under Plesk 9.2 on the same physical computer.  Seemingly an identical setup to the new relay server.

Confusing because some parts of the system were working with only certain of the system emails failing.  The site is "functional" now by using this other SMTP mail server but this leaves a worrying taste till I understand the underlying cause. Thoughts anyone . . .  Will update if I do find the root cause - Peter

So it was a Plesk hosting on default the MailEnable is used as SMTP.  If you have RDP access you can change the SMTP security settings and it want work ;)
