please check resources utilization and windows error log, maybe you get a hint. besides I would turn on app recycle logging for the IIS app pool.

Same thing happened with my site as well.  No matter which page I tried it would re-direct to the under construction page.  Not sure if my provider did something that caused DNN to fail.

I have followed Dave's procedure of modifying the config file (added a space) and saved it.  It is back up now.  Editing the config file causes a shutdown and re-start of the site in IIS.  DNN should not be re-directing if everything is back to normal.

Same for my site. Problem solved. Thanks people!

I get this problem once in a while, sometimes after i install a module,  From my experience the application  is not working, If it is a SQL issue, then you will get "can not coonect to database" error message.

It also occurs, if the site is idle for a long time as well (on neglected development sites :)))

It is resolved with restarting the IIS, or restart the website from the IIS panel, it is resolved immediately.

I edited the the HTML page, incase it occures. One will get a custom error page with the sites logo etc..

have you figure out the problem yet.

the same problem I still have, I mean it's not practical approach to restart iis or even the website itself.

Some others are discussing app pool settings, have you tried any of them.

regards
