Seems to have broken again with Mega2DNN -- was working fine on 6.1.2 then upgraded this am to 6.1.3 and all of a sudden my submenus are behind again. I verifed I have:
ul.megamenu li {
float: left;
margin: 0; padding: 0;
position: relative;
z-index: 949;
in my mega2dnn.css. Really DNN, I don't get why this keeps happening! Any ideas on a permanent fix?
Thanks in advance,
Tim

OK, I fixed it, this time hopefully permanently, by adding
.DnnModule{z-index:1;position:relative;}
to my skin css.

I used an ftp client and edited the bit of .css from Tim above into my skin.css, for the skin I am actually using, appending it at the end of the file.  It worked for me.

I am hosted on PoweDNN, who did my upgrade for me, but who could only refer me to the ftp means of editing my .css file.  So I bore down and gave it a try confident I could undo it it if failed.  The site had been at 5.6.3 before this and I still feel there's a bit missing from understanding why it happened and if it is completely skin dependent (I think so -- a couple of my sites using very basic and very old skins didn't have this issue).  I'd suggest the Core Team look at this as 6.x evolves...I'd hate to see a bunch of folks with workarounds for an easy 'corporate community' problem lead to snags down line because the workaround gets left in and forgotten. Or a skin change in the future causes it to recur with a different webmaster with no background.  Or, ......

More info:
Among my close fellow Admins are Firefox, Opera, Chrome, Safari and IE users. They reported varying results in the appearance of the same site, following the 6.1.2 upgrade that differed from its appearance prior to the upgrade. Further, they reported differences between those experiences and a different site which is still 5.6.3 with respect to these mouseover dropdowns in the core horizontal menu bar. I am pretty sure this points to skin dependence, but believe there still must be some core change in DNN 6 which many don't know about. Some clarity would be helpful to all who may have to update or change skins to keep the UI workng the way their users expect and need, whiling also upgrading to this latest and excellent version.
