If you have moderated feedback, it will send a moderation email to anyone who has 'Moderate Feedback Posts' permission in the module. Administrators are always in all roles, and so will get the email.

Cheers

Thank you for the reply.
My situation is that we are developing and maintaining the site for a client, and would like the feedback to go to them. Since we are maintaining the site, we (me and my colleagues) will remain the SuperUsers and Admins in the foreseeable future. The client will only have limited access to modules. We do not want to be swamped with website feedback, obviously. What would be the best way out in this case? Should we modify the code ourselves?

For me I would right an inbox rule on my mailbox to delete the unneccesary mails. Other than that you can request a change via our CodePlex site, but it may take a few months to work it's way through. Or of course you can doe it yourself :-)

Cheers
Roger

I think I'll go the DIY way :)

Thanks, Roger.

Apeksha,

The message you are referring to is not the same as the actual feedback email that earlier posters to this thread were discussing. Instead it is the moderation pending message which is sent to all those in the roles that are check in the Moderate Posts column in the permissions grid displayed within the module settings. By default the Administrators role is checked in all columns of DotNetNuke module permission grids. I just realized when looking at the settings for the Feedback module (and other modules) that it is not possible to deselect or set a deny permission for the Administrators role in any column of any permission Grid. So, without specifically coding a module to exclude the Administrators role from a particular module permission, the Administrators will always receive moderation pending email if moderation is enabled in the Feedback settings.

You may wish to add this as an issue to be further investigated by the Feedback module team on it's CodePlex project site's Issue Tracker:
