that looks right to me - perhaps it's a bug in that version , you could consider upgrading to 5.6.3 but perhaps it might be an idea to consider installing http://radeditor.codeplex.com/ - its the version we forked for 6.0 and it's custom configs work fine, plus have an editor.

I'm running 5.6.3 Community, and it's a fresh install. Frankly the Telerik editor just frustrates me to no end, and I liked the old editor SO MUCH better.

I'll look at the Codeplex editor at some point. Don't want to upgrade to 6.0.0 until you've got a couple revisions under your belt, especially since it's a full rewrite from VB.Net -> C#.

Anyway, thanks for your help - no go with the edits to the config file, so I guess it's a bust.

Best,
Tom

you can use the old version if you prefer i.e. download a pre 5.4.0 package and extract it (or go to http://dnnfckeditor.codeplex.com/ ) and then change it to use fck in the web.config -http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Wiki/Page/Modify-HTML-Editor-Provider.aspx
