Horacio or Others,

What is the status of these bugs being fixed... right now I have all my sites on 6.1.2 and they all exhibit the exact same issues in regards to the speed at which the file manager works.

I have clients that are really becoming irritated with all of the problems with it. Just looking for some updates on this issue. Thanks.

Has this been fixed yet? This is not a small bug for my clients and it's quite embarrassing for me as a long-time advocate for DNN.

@ Horacio
Or should I create a custom File Manager module to overcome them? This sounds like a waste of time, but, if there is no choice...

It might not be a waste of time as you could easily sell a great many copies on SC.

@ Lee
I would argue that anything that makes the file manager unusable isn't exactly a low priority fix. File manager is an essential tool.

Agreed.
With every new release of DNN i look to see if the file manager has been made usable . . .

Point: While the editor system we now use makes file and image upload a lot easier for admins (as we can lock it down) there is still a pressing need for a decent file manager.
Surely some part of the Telerik libraries could be leveraged for this purpose.?

Ian

PS. I would rather have a decent file manager than the new social networking features.

if you have a ZIP or PDF already uploaded, and you update it. Its size (in the Files table) is never updated. Therefore downloading it with many modules turns into a corrupted download.
