As others have said, the primary issue is that up until relatively recently store.dotnetnuke.com was actually snowcovered.com - both were completely different domains and had different encryption keys on the user passwords. Now, they both share the dotnetnuke.com domain, but theres no easy way to allow www.dotnetnuke.com logins on store.dotnetnuke.com because of the different encryption key. If we changed the encryption key to match www.dotnetnuke.com it would invalidate all existing store.dotnetnuke.com (nee snowcovered.com) logins. I think longterm I think we'll try to work out some solution for this but it's not a trivial task.

maybe there is a need for a DNN.com authentication provider to be used by the store and (and maybe other sites owned by DNN Corp.)
