Hi Matthias,

I have mentioned this issue before and a few others have noted it too.

Sebastian thinks it's fixed in 7.01.01, but Martin thinks you have to do more than just the upgrade.

Best wishes,

Ok, I don't care what anyone says. This IS a bug. Imagine if I had to go through all this pain to upgrade any other piece of software. This is completely user unfriendly not to mention poorly written. If you have to go hunting around to find why a normal functionality has disappeared then that's not normal. A worst case scenario would be a list of things to check for to make sure things will work normally.
I've tried updating the role from Users and also in the Roles section but to no avail.
I will ask the provider to update to 7.1.1 and hope that fixes it.

Hi Richard,

I know of some different issues on different szenarious with the Login after upgrade, and know this post.  But on this upgrade ther was a Windows and SQL upgrade or move too, so we have to sort out this.  Many People Forget to map the SQL Login account with the database user or to enable dbOwner permissions.  This caused that you can read the tables but you can not write, so you can Login but can not manage users about missing permission on the database.

If it was the skin then the Host account wouldn't work either.

I'm working on this now. Unfortunately I'm traveling in Europe and only have my macbook with me. So I'm trying to install SQL Mgmnt Studio on VirtualBox WIn 8. Hotel internet is so slow!

I will let you know if it works.

Thanks again.
