By the way a very annoyng thing is going on here... I don't know if it's a DNN bug or related to something else (third party module, your turbo scripts, some strange behaviour caused by unexpected chain of actions, ..)
Every time I update ADMIN > SITE SETTINGS my 404 page in the PortalLocalization table gets reset.......

this might be a side effect of url management module not integrated with Site Settings like in evoq (obviously, DNN Corp. is trying hard to sell licenses). We might need to create a Site Settings module for the community.

Cheers from Germany,

Lol yes... I had that overall feeling of "pushing the sales now!". But I guess for a project so long free and community driven, this is a due step. So bad I only approached it less than 1 month ago!
But in this case I'm not really sure about the causes... in a clean install on my local environment this doesn't happen... I should have messed up things in some magic way :)
I hope they won't let the community editon die btw but I don't think this will happen and not only for the mod/skin developers and the dnn store. Also I read some "good intention" somewhere here in the forum, from the dnn staff of not letting this happen.
And this is another concern on deciding wheater to complete my little cms or trash it and start building on dnn.

About creating the "Site Settings module for the community" first thing I want to concentrate on would be to create an output cache provider for community edition... It would be nice to have some "support" or docs on this. I only found an old topic here and I will try to start from that but I don't know if will be enough.
This would be a great addition for an high traffic site with many anonymous access (like a news site for example) since it will cut the whole page life-cycle, just stop at the request cache event and serve the file/ram/db ready. This should be usually left short like 2 minutes or even less for sites with frequent updates. Anyway this goes in another topic... ;)
