Still works on 4.5.1 :-)  For the sake of those SQL ignorant folks like me, the "right-click" needs to be done in the sql edit window!  NOT one the stored procedure node in the left window.

i looked at it once again and the problem is bigger than it seems (and I'm sorry about previous post) .... I omited that it is beeing grouped also by creation date, which of course changes situation a lot ...  havent got time and will to think over the solution ...
I wanna just notice then ordering it by threadid isn't also solution to the problem, becouse it next section of that stored procedure, where are selected items for one page, ordering among posts is done according to CreatedDate .. and so it leads to situation, where in first step are threads assigned on which page they will be shown according to threadID and then on specific page are ordered according to date of last post.

As XAXA indicated, changing the Order By clause to 'ORDER BY P.ThreadID' (or its alias) is helpful in resolving the error, but doing so results in posts on the page no longer being sorted by P.CreatedDate.  They are sorted by P.ThreadID.  Posts in the overall query are ordered by P.CreatedDate.  So, using this fix, the ORDER BY clauses of the Page and Overall Query conflict.  (If for example you have 100 posts and you're showing 25 per page, the 100 are sorted by CreatedDate, but the 25 are sorted by ThreadID.)  Any ramifications?

While I'm wondering why this issue hasn't been fixed yet ... I've tried to find a way to change the stored procedure in a way its result matches as closely the behaviour I believe was intended originally -- listing all threads only once, sorted descending by date of the last post. Here's my suggestion:

Change #1:
Before: @sql = 'INSERT INTO #PageIndex(ThreaID) SELECT DISTINCT(P.ThreadID) CreatedDate ' +
After:    @sql = 'INSERT INTO #PageIndex(ThreaID) SELECT P.ThreadID ' +

Change #2:
Before: @Filter + ' GROUP BY P.ThreadID , P.CreatedDate ORDER BY P.CreatedDate '
After: @Filter + ' GROUP BY P.ThreadID ORDER BY MAX(P.CreatedDate) DESC '

Hope this helps.

Greetings,
Vera
