I am guessing it is 2k5 specific. I work and test against 2k only. I do have 2k5 available it just hasn't been a focus. There are some items which work in 2k that probably shouldn't but they work, in 2k5 however that is not the case.

Forums "My Posts" should work just fine on SQL2005 SP1.
I have SQL2005 and can hit the button as many times as I want.

Clicking on My Posts works for me with DNN 4.3.2 on SQL Server Express 2005, although I only have a very few posts on that server yet.

Well I still have the issue I originally posted, and I'm not the only one.

So something is up :)

What I see in the error message my original post:

ORDER BY items must appear in the select list if SELECT DISTINCT is specified.

so it appears the statement that is generated is malformed. I'm surprised if SQL server 2005 would handle the TSQL statement differently from 2000, correct me if I'm wrong.

How can I capture this SQL statement for you in full? Do you think I can trace it somehow from the backend and get the full TSQL, bearing in mind it got rejected (would it have reached that far?), or is there someway I can dump the TSQL out from the module?

Cheers

Alex

Today I attempted a backend trace using SQL server profiler. Came to nothing I'm afraid. It's not even reaching that far.
How can I capture this malformed SQL statement for you?

Cheers

Alex
