 I have developed my dnn website in local system with dnn verion6.2

Now I want to go live with the website, Can anyone guide me how can I export my local website to the live server, or do I need to do all the work again on liver server.

 I want to upload my local dnn website to live server.

Backup the database, and zip the files. Copy the backup and the zip to your server.

Create a folder on your server where you want to install the DNN site (e.g. C:\DNN).

Open IIS manager and add an Application Pool (e.g. "DNNAppPool") and a website that uses this application pool and points to the folder you created. Under "Authentication", select "Anonymous Authentication", click "Edit..." and select "Application pool identity".

Assign Modify rights to the created folder for the Application pool identity (eg "IIS AppPool\DNNAppPool").

Unzip the files to the folder created.

Restore the database backup to the SQL Server on your server. Under security, add a Windows-Login for the Application pool identity (eg. "IIS AppPool\DNNAppPool"), and assign db_owner-membership to the restored database (under "User Mappings"). (There should be less permissions possible, please check the Wiki!)

Change the record(s) in the table "PortalAlias" to the new host header from your IIS configuration.

Change the web.config-file to declare the correct connection strings (Attention: There are two of them, they need to be the same!)
