Good to see the discussion is still going on. Scott is not going to continue the development so we have to leave this behind a look for a good solution.

A lot of DNN users are still looking for a solution to replace Ventrian Newsarticles and Property Agent.

I agree that EDN is the best candidate but it's missing to many features.

I think we have 2 options:

1. Find a vendor/third party who wants to adopt the Ventrian source code and rebuild the module(s)
   This post has more than 4200 views so this demonstrates there's enough potential to sell this module;
   Maybe DNNSharp, Mandeeps, DNNGo, BizModules, Arrow Software etc. is interested

2. Start a DNN crowdfunding project so we can all invest and benefit.

Hi,

I starting OpenContent module development initially as a replacement for the html module for reponsive websites.

But now decide to go a step further. And make it a replacement for Property agent.

It is surely not cover actually all the use cases of PA. 

The use of Razor templates make the customazation limitness.

It is open source. Contribution are welcome or sponcored development maybe with crowdfounding is possible also.

We integrate already many contributions from Holoncom.eu

Or next release integrate Lucene as search engine for fast full text search and add the possibility to add filtered child modules (like the Latest of PA).

Willem... I total agree with your thinking.

The only thing I've been wondering is whether it's worth just waiting for DCC and figuring that this could be done with templates. I'm almost sure that we could replace all of the functionality from NA and Property Agent using DCC, but it's hard to tell since DCC isn't complete/released yet.

In any case, I've been trying to wait patiently for DCC to be released to decide on how to proceed with a number of different projects.
