Hello,

I have hosted my DNN website on Arvixe server.

The website App pool is topping automatically and I have to login to the control panel and to restart manually.

Why is this happening? Why my DNN site stopped the App pool?

This is a big problem. The website is using active forums module and it is a forum website. There may be about 5 users are accessing at a time.

What would be the solution for this? Why is this happening? DNN7.4.1
Please can you help?

Thanks!

You'll need to ask Arvixe why the App Pool stops.

They say its a DNN issue and it is taking more memory to process the DNN application.

DNN is a large application and needs adequate resources. Precisely what is adequate depends on the workload and what you have installed on it.

I have a lightly loaded sever that is using nearly 600Mb,

This was the reply from the Arvixe for my issue. Please, can you help me for this? As I know, Arvixe is providing about 600mb memory.

I have checked the event logs and I found such log entries:

A worker process serving application pool 'sl-******.com v4.0 (Integrated)' has requested a recycle because it reached its private bytes memory limit.

A process serving application pool 'sl-******.com v4.0 (Integrated)' exceeded time limits during shut down. The process id was '54792'.

CPU time for application pool 'sl-******.com v4.0 (Integrated)' has been throttled.

A process serving application pool 'sl-******.com v4.0 (Integrated)' terminated unexpectedly. The process id was '398256'. The process exit code was '0x1'.

These log entries show that the website is hitting resources limit specially memory and when resources limits are hit, the application pool is recycled. If it continues to hit the limits, application pool is shutdown. and you see Service Unavailable errors. You can read more about memory limits at:
