I am trying to set up dnn on my localhost.  There is a production dnn site on another server.

I have set up a folder dnndev.me on my local machine and set permissions as per instructions.

The problem is that when I try to set up dnndev.me on my local iis server, it is hitting the production instance.

Carolyn,

did you also copy the database to a local (or testing) database and change the connection strings in the web.config file?

Happy DNNing!
Michael

Also check the PortalAlias table to make sure the URL's are pointing to your local instance and not your production instance.
