I found an interesting article in on the website of 1und1. http://hilfe-center.1und1.de/hosting/scripte_datenbanken/aspnet/10.html

There is written that there are restriction to assemblies with strong-names. If an assembly uses strong-names it must be added an attribute <assembly:AllowPartiallyTrustedCallers>. Some of the modules of DNN use strong-names. will it have an effect if above attribute will be added and compiled new?

I just wanted to put my two cents in. I have tried now for 3 days to get it to installl on 1and1.com and now I am really not happy to find out that it won't work with 1and1 after the fact... Has anyone made any progress with 1and1?

I just ditched 1and1 because of their crappy service and support.  I have had multiple problems with them and will NEVER use them again.

FYI, if you are using them, make sure you back EVERYTHING up on a regular basis.  They wiped my whole site and all they could say was, oops, we are sorry.  They were unwilling to try and restore it from a backup because I suspect they didn't have one.

Also,  They locked me out of all my domains when I upgraded my plan and again all they said was oops and made me buy them again.

RUN from then NOW!
