I dumped GoDaddy for this very reason - GoDaddy does not backup your site each night. The 2 DNN modules that claim to do backups really don't work under al circumstances (bought both).

You are wrong. BackupScript (www.evotiva.com/backupscript) supports ANY module, and ANY ISP. Never reported any not resolved issue with any module or ISP.
Also, there is no Perry who ever bought BackupScript. (You haven't never bought it;, thus never really used it)
True, I did not buy the module, the 2 contract programmers working for me did. I had both work on backups for me - I want daily backups of the SQL.
Also, as they explain the problem with the DNN modules that claim to backup the SQL database, there are modules, like Active Cases, that handle the SQL database in a manor that when you try to restore your SQL database ALL these backup programs "blow up" and stop restoring in the middle - thus your restored SQL is not correct and DNN dies. It's not the fault of the backup programs they both can't restore Active Cases and probably other modules that don't handle SQL properly. I'm not a programmer, only someone paying professionals to build web sites for me.
I believe the 2 contractors that have both worked on this for me.
This is why GoDaddy is a very poor solution to protecting your customer's data - they have no backup capability.
I did switch over to www.ihostasp.net/ and they backup ALL my files and SQL each night - I copy the backup over each morning. I don't know what they do to DNN but 4.4.1 runs at least 10 times faster than on GoDaddy, maybe 50 times faster the first thing in the morning.
And it's ALL modules - GoDaddy seemed to load resources for each module - IhostAsp.net seems to quickly load ALL resources for ALL modules and does it 10 times faster and keeps them alive much longer than GoDaddy.
They charge $25 to upgrade to a new DNN - my contract programmers charge 5 times that.
