I have problems with one of our customers  who forces password changes too.
So, is the password sync available in the AuthenticationProvider 1.00.03 /04 ?

I'm not sure what code Oliver was talking about or if it made it into the provider before I took over the project but, here at work where I'm running it, we change passwords every three months. There's never been a problem with someone logging in after their password has changed.

The thing is, it works fine most of the time. But sometimes it doesn't and its not reprduceable at all.
how often\when does the AD-provider sync with the AD?

It only syncs when the user logs in. If I automatically log in it doesn't care what my password is because it just uses the username I'm on my computer with and verifies that the account is valid in the AD (and there's no way to pass the password from the computer to the DNN site). If I log in manually it takes my username and password that I entered and authenticates against the AD. If my password authenticates against the AD but is different that what is stored in the DNN database then the database is updated with the new password.
