Some more options are to use a unique skin on each page, specifying a StartTabId for the menu in each skin.  The other option is to use the free SolpartMenuModule (www.solpart.com) and use the XPath portion to specify your root.

Hi John

Where can I find support documentation for the solpartMenuModule ? I have just registered on solpart.com but I see its private and needs to be cleared by admin, and I can't see any clear links to documentation on how to configure the module.

From what I can see it seems this will solve my problem. I can't understand why this isn't a standard feature of the solpartmenu in DNN itself. Surely it would be a simple issue to add a field called rootMenuID or something similar, and then if you wanted 2 or more instances of the solpartmenu in your skin, you just have to specify the relevant rootMenuId value (1, 2, 3 etc), and then wehn you add a page, you are asked which instance of the solpartmenu (1,2,3) you want to attach that page to ... perhaps this should be something that goes onto the wish list :) I currently have 2 instances of the regular solpartmenu running, but there is no way to differentiate them, so they are both pulling all menu data down ...

Please help as I need to find a solution to this issue fast.

Thanks again :)

This is what the starttabid does.
