davidtoohey,

Thank you for all your help however I am still getting the same error message while writing same table (dbo.HtmlText). I have tried through publising wizard thrice...

And everytime it stucks on same error message. Is there any specific time period defined because everytime it shouldn't stuck on the same table.

Is it working if you manually do the backup? If so, it may have something to do with the scheduler and best to regularly backup manually, but possibly also something odd with the dbo.HtmlText table.

Have you downloaded & installed SQL Server Management Studio Express?  With that also, I think you will be able to get into the database but the backup task on it (I think) can only write to the same Server the database is on... but it can easily view and edit the database (be careful on that) so you can open the table and see if there is anything that doesn't look right in it.

Hope that helps, I am also new to it all (started 31 May) but learning along the way... like many people I expect.

Mitchel,

Thank you for all the information. As per your instructions, I need to upgrade DNN 3.5.X and then to 4.X

However from the legacy modules, I didnot find DNN 3.5 x setup. Could you give me any other option of safe sequence to follow my upgradation.

there is no DNN 3.5.x, upgrade to DNN 3.3.7 and than to 4.5.5

As leupold mentioned 3.3.7 will work, 3.3.5 would also work for the upgrade
