I am on 3.2.2.   I think I want to go to 4.4, but do not want to change the modules.  What is the upgrade path?  Does 4.x correct the HTML compliance issues?  Are the compliance problems in the modules or in the core?  Thanks!!

i recommend using a file compare tool which lets you compare new release's config file and your live portals old config file. with this way you can make necessary changes without any pain :)

What's up all,
I am going to be upgrading from 4.34 to current (4.4.1) just wanted to get some insights about how I was going to perform the upgrade to see if I am going to run in to any trouble.

From my understanding, the "upgrade" zip file is just that, a zip file.  No actual installation like the first install.

So, what I was going to do, is make a copy of my live site, unzip the upgrade into the file on top of the "copy of live", make my configuration updates (to the web.config file) and then just point all of the website/virtual directories at the new copy of the site and that should do it, right?

Please let me know if you see any problems in my plan.

Thanks very much in advance!
