Hi,

I tried to install the new DNN 5.0.0 and I got below error message:

Installing Database - Version 5.0.0...FAILURE 400 - Thread was being aborted.

Why I'm calling it old problem because I've faced it when installing earlier versions. I applied all suggested solutions like increasing the time out for the IIS, and changing the InstallRoles.sql without any success.

Your kind help is highly appreciated.

I just googled "dotnetnuke" and "FAILURE 400 - Thread was being aborted", got plenty of hits, this might help:

Hi Alex and thanks for the reply

The solution you posted was not the answer. I am sure the now that my hosting provider didn't increase the IIS time out properly because I deployed my site locally using my database on the internet and it worked fine.

Well looking at the thread I supplied the main point was that  DotNetNuke does not support case sensitive collations, this is a well known issue and I'm guessing it is your issue. Check to see if your SQL Server is configured correctly heree, more info on thead and elsewhere via google.
